The Mangalore University was the first to start undergraduate programmes such as Hotel Management, Human Resource Development, Fashion Design and Yogic Sciences.  About RCU : The Rani Channamma University came into being in 2010, Karnatak University KRCPG Centre of Karnatak University, Dharwad was functioning at Belagavi. The said Karnatak University PG Centre was established at Belagavi in the year 1982, to provide an opportunity to develop access to the students for higher education hailing from North Karnataka Region. In the year 1994 the PG centre was shifted to the present campus of 172 acres of land located at Bhutramanahatti adjacent to the Pune-Bangalore National Highway – 4 at a distance of about 18 kms from Belgaum city.          The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) has been established by an Act of the Parliament (No. 3 of 2009) at Gulbarga, Karnataka. It is one of the 16 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan Period to address to the concerns of ‘equity and access’ and to increase the access to quality higher education by people in less educationally developed districts which have a Graduate Enrolment Ratio of less than the national average of 11%.The CUK, with its territorial jurisdiction all over Karnataka has been initiated its activities from the academic year beginning August 2009 in keeping with the philosophy of achieving and maintaining the highest levels of academic excellence, sensitivity to equity and access in enrolment and recruitment and emerging as a premier national educational and research institution in the country.621 acres of land at Kadaganchi Suntanur villages on the Gulbarga-Waghdhari Inter-State Highway in Aland taluka identified by the Karnataka State Government has been handed over to the university, where the work of construction of boundary wall is nearing completion and work on various buildings for the first phase of campus development will begin soon. The university is functioning from its temporary premises at the IInd floor of Karya Soudha, Gulbarga University Campus where the administrative office, classrooms, library, computer lab and other infrastructure is presently located.

About JAC :   The State of Jharkhand came into existence on the 15th of November,2000 . An Act to establish the Jharkhand Academic Council was enacted by the Jharkhand State Legislature and assented to by the Governor of the State on 26.12.2003, which was known as Jharkhand Academic Council Act 02.7.2003. The Jharkhand Academic Council was established for holding and conducting examinations at the end of Intermediate, Education, Secondary Education, Sanskrit Education and Madrasa Education and for prescribing courses of studies for such examinations and for recommending for recognition of Intermediate Educational Institutions, High Schools, Sanskrit Schools and Madrasas to the State Government and for carrying out such other or duties assigned to the council by the State Govt from time to time.The Jharkhand Academic Council started functioning in a rented house in Rameshwaram where previously the Jharkhand Intermediate Council functioned, and the Secondary portion continued to function in Zila School Ranchi campus. The search for suitable accommodation for JAC continued unabated till at last the Council was housed in a portion of the Birsadih Club on rent. The present office was inaugurated by the hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Arjun Munda on 13.12.2003 under the Chairmanship of the then HRD Minister Sri Pashupati Nath Singh. www.jac.nic.in

Sardar Patel University (SPU) Examination Results 2014-15 Gujarat : One of the greatest sons of the soil, revered Shri Bhailalbhai Dyabhai Patel, fondly known as Bhaikaka, was born on 7 June 1888 at Sarsa in the Anand District of Gujarat state. A Charotari patidar by birth, and a civil engineer by training, he had braved the shock of the death of both his parents in quick succession at a very young age. He received his education in Sojitra, followed by Vadodara, and subsequently at the University of Pune from where he secured a Diploma in Civil Engineering. This was the time when his mentor, Sardar Patel began to visualise what a soon-to-be independent India would require, and advised him to give up all this and help him in transforming Charotar into the focal point of India by serving the rural countryside so as to control migration of people from villages to towns in search of education, employment and healthcare.Vallabh Vidyanagar started taking shape and he began to establish one institution after another. Nine years down the line, he felt that the time has come to set up a rural university and thus came into existence Sardar Vallabhbhai Vidyapeeth (renamed as Sardar Patel University in 1968 after receiving recognition under 2f of the UGC Act) on 30 October 1955, and it was only too natural that Bhaikaka was named as its first Vice Chancellor. Interestingly, the ‘Sardar’ in the name of this university was yet another tribute to Sardar Patel.
